Community Voices, L'Anse au Clair
What is Community Voices?
Community Voices is a website designed by seven women from L'Anse au Clair, Labrador who came together to learn how to use a computer at the L'Anse au Clair CAP Site. We've written personal stories about family memories and learned how to use a computer by typing them up, scanning photos to add to the stories and uploading them to the website.
Partners in Learning provided help with story writing and editing as well as learning new skills. SmartLabrador provided us with an easy-to-use system, that made it easy to develop a website once we learned some basic computer skills. They also provided equipment and ongoing technical support.

What You'll Find on Our Website
On the menu at left you'll find information about the town of L'Anse au Clair and stories about family history written by each of the participants. There are photo albums about the project, the town and personal collections from quilts, to guide badges. Some of our collections date back to World War I. Community Events are listed under News, and don't forget to sign our Guestbook.
We completed our computer class on April 14, 2008, but we still plan to add photos and information to our website on a regular basis. Drop by occasionally and see what's new.
